Looking for a unique gift for that "hard to buy for" someone? How about a mini-pet portrait? These cute little portraits are small enough to sit on your desk or side table. 5x5" square with a cute little easel to sit on, your loved one will enjoy a sweet pet face hand painted especially for them. Commissions will be accepted for the 2019 holiday season beginning November 1st. Limited spaces available, so I encourage you to get on the waitlist before all the spaces are taken!
Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:
What is the deadline to reserve a pet portrait commission? I will be opening up reservations for commissions on November 1st 2019. I will close the reservation window at midnight November 7th 2019
What is the timeline for the commission process? When will I receive the pet portrait? The reservation period closes on Monday, November 26th so I can have time to contact you about your order. Once I have all of the information, deposits and photos needed, I will start painting On December 1st. The portraits will be ready to ship by December 15th. You should receive them within 5 business days. I always ship Priority Mail.
Is there a guarantee, in case it’s not what I was expecting? Because each pet portrait commission is hand painted by me, in my own artistic style, I encourage you to look at my portfolio of other mini pet portraits before making the decision to commission a piece. I will work with you to decide on the pose and to understand the personality of the pet I am painting. If you are not satisfied when you receive your painting, just return it to me in the same condition you received it and I will refund 100% of the commission price (I do not refund shipping costs).
What if there isn’t time for me to re-ship the gift to its final destination? I can ship your commissioned pet portrait directly to its destination anywhere in the U.S. If you would like it gift wrapped, I can do this for you as well, for free.
What if I have no idea how a commissioned pet portrait works? What do I need to get started? All you need are a couple of well-lit photos of the pet you’d like to have painted. Additional information such as breed type, coloring, size and age are also helpful but not necessary. I request a 50% down payment at the time of reserving the commission. Full payment is due after you receive your painting.
What if I’m not tech savvy enough to send you a digital file and I only have printed photos of the pet? Not a problem! You can mail the photos to me and I will scan them and mail them back to you, and email you the digital photo.
What types of payment do you accept? I accept cash, check, PayPal and credit cards.
I don’t know anything about original paintings. How durable will this painting be? The mini pet paintings are painted in acrylic paints on a canvas board. This is a rigid board and is durable enough to be dropped and handled. It takes a lot of force to bend it or break it. I also varnish (coat) the painting so it keeps it’s lustre and colorful beauty for years to come. I include information about how to care for the painting when I ship, but the important thing to remember is to keep it out of direct sunlight so it won’t yellow or fade.
How can this painting be displayed? Is there a frame? I ship all mini paintings with a tiny wooden display easel. The painting sits nicely on this easel on any desk or table. If you would like to hang the painting, I also offer some framing options at an additional fee.
