Living in Colorado, we are lucky enough to see all sorts of birds. This Stellars Jay was located in Rocky Mountain Park where my husband was photographing wildlife. I love the attitude of this bird and the intense blue colors of his feathers. This painting was done entirely with palate knife, which gives it a loose and impressionist feeling.
